Cross Cultures

Last Thursday, we looked at Exodus chapters 11 and 12, where the battle between the King of Egypt and God is powerfully decided. This was the first Passover, and the Jews have celebrated the Passover ever since. At Cross Cultures, we ate lamb and bitter herbs like the Jewish Passover, and enjoyed learning some Jewish dances!

At Cross Cultures this year, we have had a number of special events. Do you remember the International Banquet we had in April? How about the Latino Fiesta—with the papier mâché piñata full of lollies (sweets)? If you don't remember that, maybe you remember exams.

On the first Thursday of semester, we had a bushdance! It was lots of fun!

On Thursday (May 15), we are again having some fun activities, delicious dinner and studying the Bible together in small discussion groups.

It all starts at 5pm, and dinner is at 6pm. Bible study starts at 7:30pm, and there will be dessert at 9pm, after the discussion groups.

Everyone is welcome. And you can bring your friends.

If you can not come to Cross Cultures on Thursday nights, but would like to study the Bible with other international students, you can join one of the groups that Chris Adams is running. One group meets on Sundays at 4:30pm. Another group could also start at 7pm on Friday, if enough people want to come.
